Collaboration

For this weeks brief, we have been asked to split into pairs or groups of three to create a small project. We were asked to "post a single sentence or a single image to the forum that could form the starting point for a piece of photographic work. A text could be a headline, a piece of prose or poetry, or anything you like". I picked an image titled,Human nature-A Collaboration by Erica Simone and Jaci Berkopec. I spent some time looking through my peers responses and was drawn to one entitled "The light of the day is followed by night, as a shadow follows a body" Aristotle. I liked the idea of working around with this idea of the shadow following the body. I have looked with the help of my project partner, into various ideas around the idea of nature and humans interacting. We are looking into the idea of mother nature, and what the idea of that could mean. Is it just a fictional character or does the idea of mother nature mean something more. We are exploring the idea of a connection we share with the environment around us and how are enviroment can shape who we are.
